2024 Brussels
Building on the success of its debut at FAO headquarters in Rome, Cepi brought the full Bioeconomy LAB exhibition to TownHall Europe in Brussels on 23–24 September 2024. The exhibition featured more than 70 innovative fibre-based products and renewable solutions, sourced, manufactured and recycled in Europe using European technology, showcasing the sector’s contribution to circularity, climate neutrality and Europe’s strategic resilience.
The exhibition launch and networking cocktail on 23 September gathered policymakers, industry representatives and stakeholders, with opening remarks by MEP Susana Solís Pérez (EPP, ES), exhibition host, Raschad Al-Khafaji, Head of FAO’s Brussels Office, and Cepi Director General Jori Ringman.
The programme continued on 24 September with two policy-focused sessions presenting the latest developments in pulp and paper industry biorefineries and the sector’s contribution to the EU’s 3 Billion Trees Pledge, alongside networking opportunities around the exhibition.
